![]() ![]() Really great work the three of you on the analysis for each entry, I think it was spot on and very glad that you did think that my entry was good enough to compete and be the winner of this contest, so thanks again. I need to thank Venus of the Desert Bloom (I wrote it right now) for creating this contest and making it fun for all (kudos for the DDS attack and still going with the game) and I must say thanks to Swampasaur and Oppossom for being the judges of this competition. Now finally but not least FalKoopa, you are insane with Kapus going for the most difficult characters to make, really thats a lot of work and looking to the choices that you made and how the palette will work with Link was amazing but if I need to say something you surprise me with the extra color swap because I would never come with that idea for the simple reason that I have never play Four Swords (I think is the one with purple Link?) so great choice and really nice with the details. Now Kapus on the color palette swap of Peach, holy molly when I saw your work I was speechless, really detailed and the extra choice it was amazing (If one person told me to do a new color swap of Peach, I would never thought of your idea, instead I would make it based on Toadette or when Peach when she wore the soldier uniform in PM: TTYD) I did think that you will get the first place in this contest.Ĭontinuing with thekewlusername another great palette swap seriously nice work with the colors and great choice of character, for me it would be one of the most difficult to make because of the extra palette swap, with Mario you need to think outside the box because everyone has saw our favorite Plumber in so many colors and especially in Smash that to surprise the people require really a creative mind in coming with the idea and make it work, so great work and hope see you next in other contests. I think first I need to call APC99 for making a great color swap of Luigi, really great work and thumps up for the two extra palettes (I know it was only one but you did two, pushing your mind and work, so really you did a nice job). Well thanks, I didn't think in pulling out that one, I don't know what to say. The Deadline for the palette swaps is November 11th, a month away. Make sure you place the Trainer as well as the Pokemon within the palette swaps. There the next topic is:Ĭreate a 5 palette swaps of a Pokemon Trainer from any generation with a team of 3 Pokemon from any generation. While the character didn't do too well in actual gameplay, the Pokemon Trainer was widely liked and the ingenuity that he brought to the field. The next topic is in! Since Pokemon seems to be on everyone's brains currently, the next topic is a Pokemon theme. However, the purple Link is unfamiliar to me and I feel a more iconic version of Link could have been used such as classic Link or such. You paid close attention to the original palette swap. I can tell thought went into creating your palette swap. You stayed on topic thus awarded with 10 points. I would suggest adding some dark to the corners of the eyes near the ears. However, the eyes look a little bit off and almost Paint-like. Regardless, you recolored the models well - especially the Dark Link. Each palette swap has a recolored shield so it is safe to assume that a new palette swap would as well. They are a nasty piece of work to try and recolor but you were able to do so very well! However, I do not know why you didnt decide to recolor your fan-created palette swap. Still, great palette swaps!!įirst off, I commend your handling of the shields. In addition, while the dark blue palette would fit in well, I feel that it might collide with the Blue fusion suit that is often used as a blue color scheme. However, I feel that a color swap based off one of her power suits would have been more fitting due to her other swaps being just that. While I do question the use of Anthony Higgs as a basis, the resulting product is breath-taking elegant yet deep. Samus is particularly hard but the contestant excelled. ![]() Thought went into translating the SSBB palette into the SSB Wii U/3DS palette. The palette swap remains on topic thus is awarded a 10. I also noticed the shadows are colored the same color of the palette swap. I do enjoy the arrangement of the swaps tough and feel the composition is very Metroid-esque which saves the score a little. However, I feel a background would have boosted the score int he Art Quality department. The art is great in the palette swap as is the quality of the image. ![]()
